Project name: Churchill Place
Slate supplied: SIGA 39T
Main contractor: Taylor Wimpey
Roofing contractor: JSJ Roofing
SIGA 39T slates were chosen for the new property development at Churchill Place, on Mill Hill in London. This prestigious building project, which involved the development of a number of high end flats and houses, was purpose-built for private sale. The project was overseen by main contractors Taylor Wimpey, who had employed roofing contractors JSJ Roofing. Both contractors wanted to be sure that the slate they used would give a specification superior appearance, as well as provide a reliable, long-lasting roof. Taylor Wimpey specifically requested a slate with a ‘superior finish – fitting with the design of a top end property development.’
After various meetings and site visits, 1000m2 of SIGA 39T was chosen for a number of reasons. Firstly, contractors agreed that its characteristic feel was well suited to the surrounding areas, therefore matching the quality of the developments around them. Additionally both contractors trusted SIGA and its grading processes and warranties.
Once all materials had been sourced, the job itself was straight forward with minimal setbacks. Both the contractor and the property developer were pleased with the final result and will using SIGA for future projects.
