We are delighted to announce that SIGA 67 has been used in a project that has just received a prestigious Master Builder Award.

The Best New Home award was presented to Haldane Construction Ltd at the Federation of Master Builders’ (FMB) Scotland ceremony, for the construction of an architecturally designed bespoke 1.5 storey house with a unique turret feature, finished with a traditional slate roof.

Specified by Architects and Conservation Consultants, Pollock Hammond Ltd, SIGA 67 was chosen because it is an exceptional slate that conforms to the French standard which means it has been tested over and above the European norm (BS EN 12326). Along with this and having worked with SIGA Natural Slate previously, they were assured of its quality and reliability.

The 300m2 of SIGA 67 required was supplied by local roofing merchant SIG Roofing in Linwood. Haldane Construction has worked with SIG Roofing over the past 7 years on many self-builds and small developments enjoying the excellent customer service, availability of materials and personal technical support offered.

Uniquely, this awards programme requires that any project entered by the builder must be backed up by the customer. This gives the homeowner the opportunity to support companies that have delivered exceptional results with high quality products and adds credibility to their entry.

Haldane Construction will now compete in the national finals in September 2017, where they will have the chance to win the UK category title.

We wish Haldane Construction every success in the forthcoming finals.
