Project name: Stapeley House
Slate supplied: SIGA 32
Contractor: RBH Construction, Cheshire

Stapeley House is a new build private home situated in the rural suburbs of Nantwich – a small market town and civil parish in East Cheshire, North West England. The 5 bedroom modern-look property was built on ground where the previous building had recently been demolished. It required a slate that suited its appearance as well as the surroundings.

The contractor, RHB Construction, contacted their nearest SIGA representative who, after careful consideration recommended SIGA 32 7mm slates, of which 3,500 were used.
SIGA 32’s high end distinctive blue/grey finish was deemed to suit the property and fit in with the surrounding area. Being part of SIGA’s Specification Range, SIGA 32 is a high quality, first selection slate meaning less time grading and sorting on site.

Additionally SIGA 32’S excellent quality and durability combined with its rugged natural texture were major a deciding factor. Previous projects, case studies and examples of work, coupled with a warranty of 75 years further compounded the decision to use SIGA 32.

Once the installation was underway, it was a straightforward installation that was completed within the time slot and within budget.

Andy Heath of RHB Construction commented: “We found SIGA a pleasure to work with. From the property owner’s perspective, it’s very aesthetically pleasing and from our perspective as a contractor, the quality of slate was superb. Having such a lengthy warranty was a bonus.”
